12/29/03:
Hey folks. Thanks so much to those
who came out Saturday to support the show at USL with 'Kiss The Bottle'
& 'The Pistol Wips'. All and all it was a great show &
we were thrilled to share the stage with both bands. In case you're wondering,
the music we came out to was called "Hero's Hallway"
& it can be found on the Bubba
Ho-Tep soundtrack. Visit the movie's website
to find out more about getting your own copy of the soundtrack CD &
just to learn a bit about this great movie featuring Bruce
Campbell. We've got one show booked next week in Amityville
with a band from Queens called 'ten
years without you'. We're looking forward to finally
playing with those guys, so come out and support. After that, I think
we're going to take a little break from playing live. We want to finish
up a few more new songs & get a new recording together ASAP. We've
been working really hard on making the newer songs the best we can collectivelly
put together, so this next CD, we promise will be something special. As
of right now, we've got the songs 'So Comfortable' & 'Capital
D' (which you might recognize from our recent set lists), as well
as the 3 new tracks from the LIVE EP. We're working on some ideas for
possibly 3 more songs & then we'll be ready for the next CD EP. We'd
like to thank all of those that made this year so remarkable and worthwhile.
We had some great shows & we're happy to still be doing it. On behalf
of the whole band, have a happy and safe new year, and let's hope 2004
is a bigger year for us all then 2003 was.
12/15/03:
Special thanks to all those who
came out for Saturday night's show & made it an amazing evening. We
hope you dug the new song 'So Comfortable'. Drop
us a line and let us know what you thought of it. Thanks to
everyone involved for putting together the show & all our new found
friends from that evening, including the other bands. New
show just added! It's short notice, but it's this upcoming
Saturday evening, the 20th, in Massapequa Park. Also, I just re-did the
links page, so head
over there & check out some cool webpages from bands we've played
with, we've been influenced by, and just cool stuff that we dig.
12/11/03:
Since the MP3.com situation hasn't
improved, we've moved our MP3 of 'The Waiting' onto a site
called Pure
Volume. Visit our page there at http://www.purevolume.com/PRETTYPOLLY.
There a pretty comprehensive listing of all local artists there, so visit
the site and discover some new bands. Also, visit our friends, The
Pistol Wips and read about their upcoming brand new EP/DVD
release. It's an interesting tribute to the John Carpenter classic
'They Live', which starred Mikey's hero Rowdy Roddy Piper.

12/8/03:
We added some pictures to the Pretty
Polly picture gallery,

Happy birthday to our friend &
number one street teamer, Chris Piccione. Speaking of Chris, Pretty
Polly would collectively like to thank Chris for setting up last weeks

Letters from Delaware, who were excellent, so check out
their site. Also, we played with Sediment, a kick ass instrumental
trio whom are quickly becoming one of Pretty Polly's favorite local bands.
Speaking of favorite locals, the next Polly
show will be a big all ages show with Greyscale,

the upcoming direct sequel to the original 80's horror cult classic. The

9/15/03:
Special thanks to all of those who
made it to the Tourer 495 show and whose cheers made us one of
the winners. That's right! Both Pretty Polly and the band 'Broken'
were selected from crowd response to move onto the next round for The
Inside Connection's Tourer 495 contest. We'll keep you posted on when
the next showcase gig will be. On a sour note, Stevie D.'s car was stolen
from the parking lot of the venue, Mr. Beerys where this show took
place merely a few minutes after load up. Thanks to everyone who has been
willing to show their support and love to Steve in yet another bad incident.
A few months back all his cymbals were stolen from a show we did in Queens.
That's Pretty Polly's luck for ya! We're all pulling for him, he
loves and appreciates all of you for your concerns.

1/8/03:
On behalf of Pretty Polly,
Happy New year! There are lots of updates on the site. First off, the
new flash intro, which kind of hints on things to come for the band. You
can still view the original flash intro we had on the site the past year,
as it is being used now as the official trailer
for our full length CD 'Somewhere Between Then & Now'. As our
intro hinted at, we have a new CD coming out hopefully by late January
or mid February. The title will be 'That Was Then And This Is Now'.
A CD index for this upcoming cd is already listed on the CD
index page. See the track listing, see out new logo & read
the lyrics here.
Images to go with the concept of the CD are on the way. Always be on the
lookout for upcoming live shows on our live
experience page. And speaking of live... for the first time
in our web-site's history, we are going to post live photo's. Nick from
www.longislandmusicscene.com
was at our performance on 12/28/02 @ the USL in Merrick & snapped
up these great shots. We decided to start a live
pictures page with these shots. We always welcome submissions,
so if you have any fan-art, photos from one of our performances or comments
or questions, feel free to write.
