Reject Rob G.- vox, guitar recorded by Steve in his basement August of 96. |
|
This was a photo taken
by Rob G. in august of 96 on Wall Street. Stevie D. was indeed the model
for the photo and walked aroung wall street on a hot summer afternoon
with the word reject written in black marker across his stomach. A security
guard from one of the buildings actually came out and screamed "Yea...
fight the upper class, man". We found it hilarious. The thumb print
over the face was an idea we were using on our flyers at the time, so
we used it here for the cover as well. We were very proud of this recording
and the songs at the time of it's release. This was the first studio demo
that Pete M. played on. And the message that immediately follows Painfull
Faith was a message that Pete left on Rob G.'s anwsering machine. (of
course it had to be edited down because the original message was extremely
long) The song he's humming at the begining of the message is Waffle
by sunny day real estate, which was what was on the machine at
the time. The begining of the song Daydream was altered in pitch because
the bass intro was faster then the remainder of the song.
is the one you have the original? Well, if there is a line that says "No thanx: you know who you are", then you've got the original. |
