This is considered to
be the real begining of Pretty Polly. The songs were dark and compelling
& a artistic step forward for what the band wanted to do. The front
cover was taken by a digital camera and was later edited by Rob G. &
his cousin John Novello. And yes, that's Stevie D. being used as our model
again. There were 2 other cover concepts which appear on the inner sleeve
of the cassette. The first was an obscure black & white photgraph
of a women which was from a flyer Rob G. had for a punk show. The second
was an idea by Steve of a hand-written letter with the words "i love
you" repeated over & over. After decided on a third idea which
ended up being used as the cover, the band decided to include their original
concepts on the inner sleeve. This was also the only demo tape that contained
a seperate lyric page. The multiple voices at the end of Enema
were a last minute addition from Steve. After the track Blood Stained
Lips, I Miss, there's a slight teaser for the song No Difference
which would appear on the next Pretty Polly release. Shorty after it's
completion, the band started working on the "Getting Over It"
EP with newly recruited bassist Matt Campbell.
